Roger Clemens today relieved the concerns of many baseball supporters by disclosing on the CBS News program 60 Minutes that he was infected with the B-12 virus and not the much feared steroid virus. Clemens, 45, a certain hall of famer, reportedly was repeated injected with human growth hormone that was known to be contaminated with both the B-12 and steroid viruses.
After developing symptoms of steroid use, Clemens had himself tested and was found to have the less deadly B-12 virus. Unlike the steroid virus, the B-12 virus does not cause aggressive behavior but rather pathological lying and persistent public deception.
"We're relieved to hear the news. We were afraid that no one would believe him and that he would lose his place in the hall of fame. Now he can take his rightful place along with other B-12 infected baseball players, said commissioner Selig. The outbreak can be traced to contaminated HGH used by Jose Canseco.
